Construction of a student dormitory begins at UzSWLU

On March 18, the construction of a 9-story student dormitory with a capacity of 1,500 beds began at the Uzbekistan State World Languages University  as part of a public-private partnership .

 

 

The launch of the construction was attended by Deputy Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Innovation O. Makhkamov, Hokim of Uchtepa District B. Mamadjanov, University Rector I. Tukhtasinov, and Vice-Rectors.

The event participants reviewed the construction process and project details, discussing key technical aspects of the building, construction plans, and the facilities to be provided for students. They also focused on the implementation process, construction quality, and adherence to set deadlines.

 

 

This project is an important step in improving students' living conditions and plays a significant role in the development of the university's infrastructure.

For reference: The total cost of the project is 80.8 billion UZS, of which 45.8 billion UZS is funded by a private investor, while 35.0 billion UZS comes from the state budget. The main contractor for the construction is "Binokor Shukhrat" LLC, and the dormitory is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2025.
