On October 10, 2023, the rector of UZSWLU, prof. Ilkhomjon Tukhtasinov received Rafael Jiménez Castañeda, Assistant-rector for international cooperation of the Spanish University of Cadiz, and Andres Santana Arribas, head of the University's International Center for Eastern Europe and Central Asia - CUNEAC. During the meeting, information was provided on the teaching of Spanish language at the university and cooperation with these state universities. Proposals were made to develop mutual partnership, including sending linguists to our university, establishing a Spanish language test center with the right to issue certificates. Assistant-rector for scientific affairs and innovations prof. G. Bakiyeva made suggestions on developing relations with the University of Cadiz in the scientific field, establishing a joint doctoral program with diplomas of two universities. Rafael Jiménez supported the proposals made by Castañeda and announced that the University of Cádiz is ready to cooperate in all areas, to implement joint doctoral programs. After the meeting, a ceremonial opening ceremony of the Spanish-Uzbek language center established at the Faculty of Romano-Germanic Philology was held with the participation of university leaders.
