Meeting with Representatives of Japan’s “Onodera User Run” Company Held at the Uzbek State University of World Languages
On 27 October 2025, the Rector of the Uzbekistan State University of World Languages (UzSWLU), I. Tuxtasinov, received representatives of Japan’s “Onodera User Run” company.
The purpose of the meeting was to further develop cooperation between UzSWLU and Japan in the fields of education and employment, expanding students’ opportunities for practical professional training and entry into the international labor market.
The meeting was attended by Mr. Daiki Kimura, Head of the Company; Mr. Sardorkhoja Bozorboev, Manager; and Mr. Abdusaid Abduganiyev, company staff member. From the university side: Rector I. Tuxtasinov, Vice-Rector for International Cooperation A. Nasirov, Head of the International Cooperation Department X. Yuldashev, Dean of the Faculty of Oriental Philology D. Juraev, Head of the Department of Japanese Philology N. Khamidova, and Japanese language lecturer X. Botirov.

During the discussions, the parties continued the negotiations initiated earlier in Tokyo. In particular, they discussed organizing six-month professional preparatory courses for senior students and graduates majoring in Japanese, as well as their subsequent employment in Japan.
The parties also reached an agreement to involve Japanese experts in teaching these special courses and to train local instructors.
Rector I. Tuxtasinov emphasized that organizing student internships and practical training at Japanese universities and enterprises would make the learning process more effective.
Mr. X. Yuldashev noted that UzSWLU students possess strong knowledge and skills in Japanese, and that launching professional training programs would help meet Japan’s demand for qualified personnel in a short period.
The Japanese side emphasized that the training center to be established in Tashkent will prepare specialists to work in the hospitality industry, food service, elderly care, and medical institutions — highlighting the importance of cooperation with UzSWLU in this process.
At the end of the meeting, both sides reached an agreement to sign a Memorandum of Understanding and a Cooperation Agreement.
This meeting marked an important milestone in strengthening the partnership between the Uzbekistan State University of World Languages and “Onodera User Run”, expanding international education and employment opportunities for young people.
