A Student of Uzbekistan State World Languages University Became the GRAND PRIX Winner of the International “Chinese Bridge – 2026” Competition!

The award ceremony for the finalists and winners of the “Chinese Bridge – 2026” international competition held in Uzbekistan took place successfully.

Today, on May 16, an award ceremony for the winners of the short video contest “The Silk Road Connects Us — Me and China,” as well as the presentation of Embassy scholarships, was organized at a high level at the Confucius Institute under Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies.

 

 

The event was held in the large conference hall of the Confucius Institute. Talented students studying the Chinese language, professors and teachers, representatives of the Chinese Cultural Center, and partner organizations participated in the event.

The Rector of Uzbekistan State World Languages University, Ilkhomjon Madaminovich Tukhtasinov, also attended the event. The Rector sincerely congratulated the students who achieved high results and worthily represented the university, and expressed gratitude to their teachers and parents.

The “Chinese Bridge – 2026” international competition among university students of the Republic of Uzbekistan was organized jointly by the Confucius Institute under Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies, the Confucius Institute under Samarkand State Institute of Foreign Languages, and the Chinese Cultural Center.

At the initial stages of the competition, 67 students from across the country participated. Following the selection and semifinal rounds, 15 of the most talented students from 7 leading higher educational institutions of the country advanced to the final stage.

Among the finalists, students of Uzbekistan State World Languages University demonstrated exceptional activity and achieved outstanding results. In particular:

In particular, Uzbekistan State World Languages University student Xamidullayeva Nafisa demonstrated outstanding performance throughout all stages of the competition and became the GRAND PRIX winner of the Republican final stage of the “Chinese Bridge – 2026” international competition.

According to the results of the three competition stages — monologue, question-and-answer session, and creative performance — Nafisa earned high recognition from the jury for her profound knowledge, fluent Chinese speech, and impressive creative presentation.

Through this victory, Xamidullayeva Nafisa earned the right to represent Uzbekistan at the XXV World “Chinese Bridge – 2026” Competition, which will be held in the People’s Republic of China.

This international project serves to increase young people’s interest in learning the Chinese language, strengthen cultural ties, and develop international cooperation.
