UZBEKISTAN STATE WORLD LANGUAGES UNIVERSITY ADHERES TO THE PRINCIPLES OF OFFICIAL INFORMATION POLICY

In response to claims circulating on social media alleging that the leadership of Uzbekistan State World Languages University has imposed restrictions on reporting new appointments and information concerning the ministry’s activities, we would like to clarify the following.

The Rector of Uzbekistan State World Languages University, Ilkhomjon Tukhtasinov, has issued no instructions prohibiting the publication on the university’s information platforms of official announcements concerning the appointment to the position of First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan — Minister of Education and Science, or information regarding the ministry’s activities.

The official announcement of Erkinjon Turdimov’s appointment to the new position was published on the Telegram channels of the university’s faculties and on the university’s official website. This fact confirms that efforts are being made across the university to report important developments of national significance and communicate relevant information to academic staff and students.

The university attaches particular importance to reporting on the reforms being implemented in our country, major events of national significance, official appointments, decisions adopted, and developments in the education sector. Information based on official sources is communicated to the relevant audiences through the university’s information platforms and the official Telegram channels of its faculties.

The university’s information policy is based not on the presumed attitudes or personal views of individuals, but on the principles of relying on official information sources, maintaining objectivity, and providing the public with reliable information. Therefore, any conclusions regarding the university leadership’s position or information policy should be based on verifiable facts rather than unsubstantiated assumptions.

Uzbekistan State World Languages University will continue its consistent efforts to report on state policy, reforms in education and science, and official decisions, provide the public with reliable information, and keep students and young people informed about current developments.
