Several members of the department have improved their qualifications in foreign countries. The department actively collaborates with foreign departments and works together with foreign teachers.

All Teachers in the Department of English Language Teaching Methodology and Educational Technologies have C1 level international and national certifications:

• Multilevel 9 certifications

• TESOL&TEFL 7 certifications

• IELTS 4 certifications

• APTIS 3 certifications

The main goal of the department: Strengthening practical skills of third-year students through practical subjects and guiding them towards theoretical subjects.

Main tasks of the department: Assisting in enhancing students’ theoretical and practical knowledge.

Scientific focus of the department: Methodology, linguistics, pedagogy.

Educational directions taught in the department: Philology and language teaching.

Scientific research conducted by the department:

1. Scientific seminars aimed at enhancing the scientific potential of the department’s faculty members.

2. Textbooks and educational manuals prepared by faculty members.

3. Faculty members encouraged to publish articles in journals listed in Scopus, Web of Science, with impact factors, and OAK.

4. International cooperation established.

5. Collaboration with foreign professors in publishing articles.

6. Planned international conference in 2024-2025.

7. Active operation of the "Young Methodologist-Researcher" and "Methodology of Teaching English" circles.

8. Department member Eshonqulova Gulruh received a PhD in Pedagogy.

Department achievements:

• Active international relations of the Department of English Language Teaching Methodology and Educational Technologies.

• In the second quarter of 2025, a contract was signed with a German SES volunteer teacher.

• Faculty member Kurbanova Dilafruz Shuxratovna organized a seminar in collaboration with a Polish university.

• On November 10, 2023, the international scientific-practical conference "Topical Aspects of Linguistics, Linguodidactics, and Intercultural Communication" was held in collaboration with Kuban State University’s Department of Professional English and the Department of English Language Teaching Methodology and Educational Technologies at the Uzbekistan State University of World Languages. L.T. Ahmedova represented the department.

• Active work with foreign students.

• Active involvement of the department’s faculty members in organizing international conferences.

• Workshops organized for students and teachers in collaboration with Astrid Hornoff, an English language expert from Germany’s SES organization.

• Faculty members are organizing national and international conferences.

• An international conference on "Modern Linguistics, Literary Studies, and Current Issues in Teaching Foreign Languages" is planned for this year.

Department member Nazmutdinova Klara advanced her qualifications in Azerbaijan as part of the TESOL project.
