Department of Japanese Language Theory and Practice

History of the department: Japanese has been taught at the Uzbekistan State University of world languages since 1996. For the first time, Japanese was opened as the second foreign language at the Faculty of interpretation. Since the academic year 1999-2000 he has been teaching at the faculties of international journalism and translation, since the academic years 2005-2006 at the 2nd Faculty of English Philology, since the academic year 2010-2011 at the 1st and 3rd faculties of English Philology. By Resolution No. PP 2193 of June 26, 2014, the direction “ teaching philology and languages (Japanese language) 5120100” was opened at the Faculty of translation theory and practice in the academic years 2014-2015. 20 students were admitted in this direction of Education. Since the 2018-2019 academic year, the Department of theory and practice of the Japanese language has been opened. At the Department of theory and practice of the Japanese language of the Faculty of Oriental philology, the number of students studying Japanese as the main language is 265, and about 300 students as the second foreign language are studying Japanese language and culture with great interest. The department has 11 main state teachers of which 9 act as seat teachers
