EDUCATIONAL LITERATURE CREATED BY PROFESSORS AND TEACHERS OF THE DEPARTMENT
- English language teaching methodology textbook for preschool education and elementary grades;
- Educational and methodological manual of English practical phonetics for students of the 1st-2nd year of bachelor's degrees;
- "Speak beyond speaking" instructional manual for 2nd year undergraduate students of higher education institutions;
- "Language and Culture" teaching-methodical manual for 2nd-year undergraduate students.
ORGANIZATION OF THE EDUCATIONAL PROCESS
It is important task for every teacher to thoroughly prepare for subjects, conduct lessons using modern methods, effectively conduct them in the auditorium with televisions and projectors, prepare handouts and materials necessary for the development of 4 language competencies of students in modern ways.
From the 2023-2024 academic year, based on the proposal of teachers who have improved their qualifications, new subjects "Local Studies and Tourism" and "Intercultural Communication" have been introduced as elective subjects. In the process of teaching these subjects, teachers and students conduct classes in museums, organized exhibitions, ancient sites and theaters of Tashkent. The purpose of this was focused on further development of students' English-speaking skills, comparative study of customs and cultures of Uzbekistan and English-speaking countries.
The 3rd semester of the 2023-2024 academic year began with an educational and familiarization practice for the 2nd year students. 12 seminar groups were organized in total of 24 groups in daytime education, and 5 seminar groups were organized in total of 10 groups in evening education.
ACHIEVEMENTS OF PROFESSORS AND TEACHERS OF THE DEPARTMENT
22 of the 23 main staff members of the Department of Applied English have National and International Language Certificates at C1 level.
RESEARCH WORK AT THE DEPARTMENT
The head of the department, senior teacher Saidov Ravshan Tursunovich 13.00.02 - is conducting research on the topic "Development of reading competence of students of philological higher educational institution on the basis of texts in English" in the field of methodology and theory of education.
The teacher of the department Khamidova Durdona Mukhtorovna 10.00.06- is conducting research on the topic "Lexical typological and lexicographical analysis of economic terms in English and Uzbek" in the specialty of comparative literature, hybrid linguistics
Teacher-intern of the department Isakova Dilafruz Fakhriddinovna 10.00.06- is conducting research on the topic "Mentality in the discourse of English and Uzbek mass media" in the field of comparative literature, hybrid linguistics and translation studies.
The teacher-intern of the department Ibragimova Arzayim Bakhadirovna 13.00.02- is conducting research on the topic " Лингводидактические основы обучения сегментной фоностилистике английского языка студентов тюркоязычной аудитории”" on the specialty of the theory and methodology of education and training.
Scientific and practical seminars were organized in the department, and foreign professor Dr. Arlene Clacher was attached, last academic year the teachers of our department participated in weekly seminars and trainings organized by Ashley Lane.
PUBLISHED SCIENTIFIC ARTICLES AND THESES
In the first half of the 2022-2023 academic year, the department published more than 120 scientific articles in various international and OAK scientific journals and collections of international and national scientific and practical conferences.
WORKING WITH TALENTED STUDENTS
During the 2022-2023 academic year, several students received grants from foreign universities.
In addition, they became winners of several famous scholarships.
ACHIEVEMENTS OF PROFESSORS AND STUDENTS OF THE DEPARTMENTt
Among the teachers of the department, there are winners of "Excellence of Public Education" and "President's Scholarship". In addition, 1 teacher obtained TEFL and 3 teachers TESOL certificates.
In the 4th semester of the 2022-2023 academic year, the teachers of our department organized a scientific-practical online conference on the topic of "Problems, solutions and development prospects of the theoretical and practical teaching of modern English language aspects".
INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION ESTABLISHED AT THE DEPARTMENT
From the 2023-2024 academic year, the professor teacher of the United States of America Dr. A partnership was established with Arlene Clachar.
SPIRITUAL AND EDUCATIONAL WORK
In order to meaningfully spend free time of students and increase their interest in theater, painting, music and other fields of art, 2nd year students together with teachers visited "Adiblar Khiyabono" and "Independence Square", "New O They visited "Uzbekistan" gardens and held roundtable discussions.
Based on the essence of the decree No. PF-87 of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan of March 7, 2022 "On measures to further accelerate work on the systematic support of families and women", based on the plan, in the TTJ No. 2 "Department Within the framework of "Days", various events are held by the teachers of the department in order to ensure the rights and interests of female students, to increase their economic, social and political activity, to solve their problems in life, and to provide comprehensive support to female students.
