History of the department: the Department of Theoretical Sciences was founded in 2021. In this short period, a large number of mature scientists and specialists have been working in the Department. Among the departments, the most advanced and scientific level is the work of mature professors and teachers.
The first head of the Department of Theoretical Sciences: Kata teacher Timanova Rosar Valerivno led until 2021-2023.
Until 2023-2024, doctor of philosophy in Philological Sciences, PhD, Associate Professor O'sarov Ibrahimjon was appointed head of the Department.

The main purpose of the Department:
Training of mature personnel in the field of linguistics in Uzbekistan.
The main functions of the department include:
conducting lecture and seminar classes at a high methodological and professional level, established in educational plans compiled in accordance with the state educational standards of Higher Education;
graduate qualification work of students, master's dissertations and leadership of independent researchers;
fair assessment of student knowledge on the basis of a credit-module system;
development of educational programs in the disciplines of the department and submission to approval in the prescribed manner.
