Department of Civil and Labor Protection

Department Responsibilities:

  • The Department of Civil and Labor Protection was established to conduct methodological and advocacy activities aimed at improving practical work on civil and labor protection issues at the University.

  • The Department of Civil and Labor Protection provides suggestions to the University's management regarding the creation of healthy and safe learning processes and working conditions. It supervises the conduct of training sessions and manages the implementation of rules and standards related to civil and labor protection.

  • The Department of Civil and Labor Protection carries out organizational, managerial, planning, and coordination work on labor protection issues at the University.

  • The Department of Civil and Labor Protection oversees the creation of healthy and safe working conditions at the University, conducts civil and labor protection and technical safety training sessions in collaboration with the educational-methodical department, and implements a civil and labor protection educational program. It applies new scientific and technical achievements, advanced practices, and methodologies to prevent injuries and occupational diseases.

  • The Department of Civil and Labor Protection participates in the correct application of labor protection laws and regulations regarding the proper organization of labor at the University level.

  • The Department of Civil and Labor Protection develops regulatory documents on labor protection based on the decisions, orders, and instructions of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection, the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Innovation, and submits them to the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Innovation in coordination with the University’s trade union.

  • The Department of Civil and Labor Protection issues orders and instructions on labor protection based on existing laws and regulations. It provides practical assistance to the faculties and departments, ensures the implementation of these instructions, and monitors their execution.

  • In cooperation with the administration and trade union, the Department of Civil and Labor Protection takes part in drafting key agreements and collective labor contracts, considering the social and economic protection of students, faculty, and staff at the University.

  • The Department of Civil and Labor Protection monitors the implementation of requirements outlined in collective labor agreements and contracts regarding labor protection at the University.

  • The Department of Civil and Labor Protection ensures the timely medical and technical assessment of labor conditions and ensures compliance with labor protection standards and regulations.

  • The Department of Civil and Labor Protection develops procedures for providing workers and employees with free personal protective equipment, such as uniforms and shoes, based on model system standards. These standards are amended in coordination with the Tashkent City Department of Labor and Social Protection and the trade union.

  • The Department of Civil and Labor Protection establishes procedures for evaluating the labor protection knowledge of workers and employees, and formalizes the results of these evaluations. The Rector approves the composition of the central qualification commission.

  • The Department of Civil and Labor Protection oversees the organizational and methodological system for improving the qualifications of workers and engineering-technical staff in the field of labor protection.

  • The Department of Civil and Labor Protection ensures the correct and timely investigation and record-keeping of accidents at the University.
