In accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev No. PF-6309 dated September 9, 2021, "On further supporting talented youth studying at higher education institutions and engaged in scientific research activities," the decision of the University's Supervisory Board on January 27, 2022, and University Order No. 40 dated February 3, 2022, the "Department for Organizing Scientific and Research Activities of Talented Students" was established.

Currently, the head of the department is Shaxnoza Miraxmatovna Ismatova.
Engineer of the department: Rushana Farhodovna Abdurashidova.

The department operates based on its regulations and in accordance with the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. 226 dated October 13, 2008, "On rewarding and providing material incentives to talented youth of Uzbekistan," as well as the approved "Regulation on the state scholarships of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan for students and the procedure for their assignment," and other legal acts, including instructions from higher authorities regarding the Republican Student Subject Olympiad.

Currently, in order to enhance the effectiveness of talented students' scientific research activities, the university actively involves capable and independent-thinking students in scientific activities. Talented students are assigned to esteemed professors under the traditions of the "Teacher-Student" mentorship system, various competitions are promoted, and students are being prepared for relevant subject Olympiads.

Additionally, the database of talented students by faculty has been updated, and the list has been approved. Students admitted to the first year of undergraduate studies were informed about the "Department for Organizing Scientific and Research Activities of Talented Students," including its goals and objectives.
