A Beginning-of-the-Year Meeting Dedicated to the Presidential Address Was Held at UzSWLU

Today, a beginning-of-the-year meeting was held at the Uzbekistan State World Languages University. The meeting was chaired by the Rector of the University, Ilkhomjon Tuxtasinov, who delivered a comprehensive report on the priority tasks outlined in the Address of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, to the Oliy Majlis.

The event was attended by the university administration and faculty members. During the meeting, issues highlighted in the Address—such as economic growth, social stability, education, innovation, digitalization, environmental balance, and human capital development—were discussed. Through a presentation, key directions of state policy were closely linked to the higher education system, particularly the activities of the university.

In his speech, Rector Ilkhomjon Tuxtasinov emphasized the economic and social achievements attained in recent years, the steadily growing international standing of Uzbekistan, and the increasing attention paid to education and science. He also outlined the university’s key objectives, including improving the quality of education, expanding international cooperation, introducing digital technologies, and training competitive professionals.

The meeting also reviewed the university’s major achievements in 2025, including the modernization of the educational process, increased effectiveness of research activities, and the expansion of international cooperation. At the same time, priority tasks and strategic plans for 2026 were discussed, and clear directions were defined for their consistent and effective implementation.

This meeting marked an important organizational and substantive step toward the systematic implementation of the tasks set forth in the Presidential Address, advancing educational and research activities to a new level, and further enhancing the potential of UzSWLU.
