A Brazilian delegation visited the Uzbekistan State University of World Languages.

On December 10, 2025, a meeting was held at the Uzbekistan State University of World Languages with a delegation led by H.E. Sergio Rodrigues dos Santos, Ambassador of Brazil to Uzbekistan, and Ms. Susan Kkeebank, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Brazil for Asia and Pacific Affairs.

The event was also attended by Ms. Simone Hashiguti, Director of the Language Center of the University of Campinas, and Mr. Kozimkhon Khujaev, representative of the Department for Cooperation with American Countries at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan.

During the meeting, Rector of USUWL I. Tukhtasinov welcomed the guests and discussed prospects for bilateral cooperation, particularly the development of Portuguese language teaching, academic staff exchange, and the implementation of joint scientific and educational projects. Prior to the discussions, the guests were given detailed information about the university’s activities and educational process.

Ms. Susan Kkeebank spoke about scholarship programs allocated by Brazil for international students and emphasized her readiness to strengthen cooperation between the higher education institutions of the two countries. She also stated that she would provide support in allocating scholarships for students from Uzbekistan.
