A meeting was held in the assembly hall of the Uzbekistan State World Languages University to discuss the organization of the Tashkent city stage of the “New Uzbekistan Students Olympiad” sports competitions, scheduled to take place from May 1 to 15 of the current year.

The meeting was attended by Nodir Ulugbekovich Kasimov, Head of the Youth Policy and Spiritual-Educational Affairs Department under the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovations, Erkin Ibragimovich Kodirov, First Deputy Chairman of the Uzbekistan Students’ Sports Association, as well as representatives of football, volleyball, handball, basketball (3x3), athletics, table tennis, and swimming federations, and officials from higher education institutions operating in Tashkent.

During the meeting, key issues were thoroughly discussed, including the effective organization of sports events included in the competition program, assessment of the readiness of sports facilities, and the creation of necessary conditions for holding the competitions. Information was also provided on the student registration process via the ERP.SPORT.UZ platform.

In addition, special attention was paid to grouping participating teams, organizing regional stage matches, refereeing, technical support, and clearly defining organizational responsibilities.

At the end of the meeting, all responsible parties were assigned specific tasks to ensure that the competitions are conducted at a high level, in a transparent and fair manner.
