2026-10-26 11-11 A MEETING WITH REPRESENTATIVES OF KAZAKHSTAN’S HIGHER EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS
On 26 October 2026, a meeting with representatives of higher education institutions in Kazakhstan was held at Uzbekistan State World Languages University.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Sholrad Rommel, President of the Kazakh-German University; Beybitkul Karimova Sarsemaxanovna, Chair of the Board and Rector of the Kazakh National Women’s Teacher Training University; and Aydana Nurtaza, a staff member of the Department of International Cooperation.
Representing Uzbekistan State World Languages University were Rector I. Tukhtasinov, Vice-Rector for International Cooperation A. Nasirov, Dean of the Faculty of Romance and Germanic Philology A. Khalillaev, Head of the Department of German Philology I. Ziyadullaev, and Associate Professor and PhD holder G. Rakhimova.
During the meeting, the participants discussed the implementation of academic mobility and internship programmes for students, professional development opportunities for academic staff, and the advancement of cooperation in training specialists in international relations and political science.
Particular attention was paid to the prospects of organising international conferences and seminars, arranging overseas internships for academic staff, expanding opportunities for lecturers to deliver lectures at foreign higher education institutions, and holding joint competitions, olympiads, and cultural and educational events aimed at promoting the German language across Central Asia.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties signed memoranda of understanding aimed at strengthening cooperation. These agreements are intended to expand academic exchange, create new opportunities for academic staff and students, and facilitate joint projects in education and research.
