A Memorandum of Cooperation Signed Between the Uzbek State World Languages University and Université Sorbonne Paris Nord

An important memorandum aimed at developing scientific and academic cooperation has been signed between the Uzbek State University of World Languages (UzSUWL) and Université Sorbonne Paris Nord (USPN). This agreement covers areas such as the exchange of teachers, students, and researchers, the development of joint scientific projects and educational programs, as well as the preparation of publications.

The agreement defines the following key areas of cooperation:

  • Exchange of teachers, researchers, and administrative staff;
  • Organization of student exchange programs;
  • Implementation of joint scientific projects and research;
  • Joint publication of scientific articles and materials;
  • Development of joint educational programs and coordination of doctoral dissertations.

Within the framework of this cooperation, students and faculty members of both universities will have the opportunity to study and conduct research at higher education institutions in France and Uzbekistan for a certain period.

Student Exchange Program and Financial Terms:
As part of the student exchange program, UzSUWL and USPN students will have the opportunity to study at the host university for one or two semesters.

Students will pay tuition fees at their home university while being exempt from fees at the host university. Additionally, both sides have agreed to recognize academic credits earned by students and to adapt the educational process accordingly.

Furthermore, faculty members of both universities will be able to participate in academic exchange programs to advance their research activities. Their positions and salaries will be retained by their home universities.

Scientific Research and Joint Publications:
Special attention within the memorandum is given to developing cooperation in scientific research.

Specifically, new scientific findings will be equally attributed to both universities and published in international scientific journals. Both parties have also agreed to organize joint scientific conferences, promote research results internationally, and collaboratively create scientific materials.

This collaboration not only creates new opportunities for UzSWLU students and faculty but also enhances the university’s international reputation. In the long run, it will contribute to the globalization of Uzbekistan’s education system and increase its competitiveness on the international stage.
