A preventive discussion was held within the framework of the “Month of борьба against narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances”

At the beginning of 2026, a preventive discussion was held at the Uzbekistan State University of World Languages aimed at preventing drug abuse among young people, promoting a healthy lifestyle, and increasing legal awareness.

The event was opened by the Rector of the University, Ilkhomjon Tuxtasinov, who emphasized the importance of encouraging students to lead a healthy lifestyle, pursue knowledge, and engage in purposeful activities. He also noted that such events play a significant role in the lives of young people.

The main report was delivered by the First Deputy Head of the Department for Combating Drug Abuse of the Operational Search Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Lieutenant Colonel Saidazim Saidabbosovich Rasulov. He spoke about the consequences of drug addiction and psychotropic substances, their impact on young people’s lives, and the necessity of preventing this harmful phenomenon. The Lieutenant Colonel also provided information on legal measures to combat drug abuse and mechanisms of social protection.

During the event, students and participants asked questions and took part in discussions, strengthening their understanding of the negative consequences of drug addiction and the formation of a healthy lifestyle.

This event was organized within the framework of the “Month of Combating Drug Addiction and Psychotropic Substances” as part of the university’s youth work system and served as an important component of preventive and educational activities in the country.
