A Psychoprophylactic Meeting Was Held
On September 7, a psychoprophylactic meeting with students was organized at the Uzbekistan State University of World Languages as part of the “First-Year Student School” programme.
The meeting was attended by university psychologist Z.T. Khayrullayeva, university inspector for women’s affairs M. Nurmuhammedova, and educator of Student Dormitory No. 1 M. Buriyev.
During the meeting, students received essential information on adapting to the higher education environment, integrating into a new social environment, building healthy interpersonal relationships, and maintaining psychological well-being and resilience.
Students were also provided with explanations regarding the rules and regulations of the student dormitory, compliance with internal discipline requirements, and the principles of mutual respect and responsibility.
The participants discussed psychological challenges that first-year students may experience while adapting to a new educational and social environment, including emotional strain, stress, anxiety, and difficulties with social adaptation, as well as effective ways of managing such challenges.
At the conclusion of the meeting, students were provided with recommendations aimed at facilitating their successful adaptation to the new educational and social environment, supporting their psychological well-being, and fostering a healthy psychological atmosphere.
