On May 8, the Uzbekistan State World Languages University hosted the Republican Scientific and Practical Conference entitled “Family as the Foundation of the Motherland: The Social and Spiritual Significance of the Family in Modern Society.” The conference was organized jointly by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovations of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Committee on Family and Women.
The event brought together representatives of ministries and government agencies, university professors and lecturers, women scholars, researchers, and young scientists.

The conference was opened by Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan Z.B. Makhkamova.
The Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovations K.A. Sharipov and the Rector of the Uzbekistan State World Languages University I.M. Tukhtasinov also delivered congratulatory speeches.
The keynote presentations focused on the following topics:
- Mukarram Ahmedovna Nurmatova — priority directions for the development of the family institution and social support for women in New Uzbekistan;
- Lola Abduvakhidovna Saidova — legal, social, and psychological foundations for ensuring gender equality within the family;
- Shokhida Sodiqova — the role of national and universal values in fostering patriotism among youth;
- Odina Rasulovna Jamoliddinova — pedagogical conditions for raising a patriotic individual within the family;
- Kholida Ziyayeva — organizational and legal mechanisms for combating pressure and violence against women;
- Barno Sagdullayevna Abdullayeva — transformation of the family institution in the context of globalization.

The presentations also addressed important issues such as preserving family values in the era of digital transformation, strengthening cooperation among families, mahallas, and educational institutions in youth education, and supporting women’s active participation in science.
