A Roundtable Discussion on Combating Corruption Held at the Faculty of International Journalism
At the initiative of A. Matyakubov, Dean of the Faculty of International Journalism, a roundtable discussion was organized with the participation of students and faculty members, aimed at combating corruption and strengthening the principles of openness and transparency.
The event featured Bahodir Rustamovich Hoshimov, Head of the Department for Managing the Anti-Corruption “Compliance Control” System, as the keynote speaker.
During the meeting, detailed information was provided on the negative impact of corruption on societal development, the formation of an atmosphere of integrity in educational institutions, the functions of the compliance control system, and its practical mechanisms. Special attention was given to enhancing the legal awareness of young people and fostering a sense of responsible citizenship.
The roundtable discussion was conducted in a question-and-answer format, allowing students to raise issues of interest and receive clear and well-grounded responses from the specialist. This contributed to making the event more informative and effective.
The meeting was regarded as an important step toward increasing students’ legal consciousness, fostering an uncompromising attitude toward corruption, and promoting the development of an open and just society.
