A Seminar on Modern Requirements for Foreign Language Teaching and Methodological Literature Held at UzSWLU
On June 5, the faculty of the Department of “Language Teaching Methodology and Educational Technologies” of the Uzbekistan State World Languages University organized a scientific-practical seminar at the Faculty of Business and Innovative Education of Tashkent International University on the topic: “Modern Requirements for Foreign Language Teaching and Methodological Literature.”
The seminar was attended by Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor Laylo Tolibjonovna Akhmedova, as well as senior lecturers Madina Ulugbek kizi Tukhtakhuzhayeva and Nigora Avaz kizi Mirzoidova, who delivered presentations on the content, structure, and principles of developing teaching and methodological materials, as well as criteria for selecting foreign language learning resources.
Within the framework of the event, a presentation of the textbook “Teaching Languages Methodology and Educational Technologies” authored by the participants was also held. Detailed information was provided about its content, methodological approaches, and practical relevance.
In addition, a binary lesson was conducted for students with the participation of lecturers from the “Foreign Languages” Department of Tashkent International University — Sokhiba Otakhonovna Sapaeva, Mohira Shavkatjonovna Boymirzaeva, and Mahmuda Zoitovna Sharipova, together with representatives of the UzSWLU Department of Language Teaching Methodology and Educational Technologies.
During the session, students gained knowledge and skills in:
- modern trends in foreign language teaching methodology;
- current issues in social and humanitarian sciences;
- innovative pedagogical technologies and modern educational approaches.
