A visit of the UzSWLU delegation to Georgia took place

On March 31, 2026, an important meeting was held as part of the visit of the delegation of Uzbekistan State World Languages University to Georgia. During the meeting, the Rector of the university, I. Tukhtasinov, and the Head of the International Cooperation Department, X. Yuldashev, held talks with the leadership and responsible staff of Tbilisi State University.

The meeting was attended by the Vice-Rector of Tbilisi State University for Internationalization and International Relations, the Director of the Georgian Language Institute, the Director of the Institute of Linguistics, as well as representatives of the Department of International Cooperation.

At the beginning of the meeting, a video presentation about the activities of Uzbekistan State World Languages University was shown. After that, I. Tukhtasinov provided detailed information about the university’s position in international rankings, the work being carried out, and its future strategic development directions.

During the meeting, the parties discussed issues of further expanding educational and scientific cooperation. In particular, they exchanged views on introducing the teaching of the Georgian language at UzSWLU, training translators, and launching joint educational programs.

At the conclusion of the meeting, a cooperation agreement was signed between Uzbekistan State World Languages University and Tbilisi State University.
