Ambassador of Pakistan to Uzbekistan Visits Uzbekistan State World Languages University
On July 11, a meeting was held between Ilkhomjon Tukhtasinov, Rector of the Uzbekistan State World Languages University (UzSWLU), members of the university’s administration, and a delegation led by H.E. Ahmed Farooq, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to Uzbekistan.
The meeting focused on strengthening cooperation between higher education institutions of the two countries, establishing student exchange programs, and enhancing academic and research collaboration.
The Pakistani delegation included Ms. Tuba Asif, Second Secretary of the Embassy, and Mr. Bekzod Nighmonov, an embassy staff member.
During the discussions, the following areas of cooperation were addressed:

Establishing academic partnerships with leading universities in Pakistan, such as those in Karachi and Lahore;

Organizing short-term exchange programs for students;

Attracting Pakistani applicants and students to study in undergraduate and graduate programs at UzSWLU;

Offering Uzbek and Russian language courses for Pakistani citizens at UzSWLU’s Language Teaching Center;

Implementing joint research projects and initiatives;

Organizing winter and summer schools to familiarize Pakistani students with Uzbekistan’s history and culture.
As a result of the meeting, mutually beneficial agreements were reached. Such cooperation not only strengthens ties between higher education institutions but also opens up new opportunities for students, educators, and researchers.
