On April 25, an event celebrating "International Book Day" took place with the collaboration of the Uzbekistan State World Languages University and the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates in Uzbekistan.
The event was inaugurated by the Rector of UzSWLU, Ilkhomjon Tukhtasinov. Following that, Mohamed Alzaheri, the head of the economic, political, and mass media department at the UAE Embassy in Uzbekistan, delivered a speech highlighting the international cooperation between Uzbekistan and the United Arab Emirates.
Amina Rashidova, a second-year student, presented on the theme of "The Benefits of Reading Books" for International Book Day. She discussed the work "Qissati" ("My Story") authored by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Vice President, Prime Minister of the UAE, and Chairperson of the Emirate of Dubai. The program also featured performances by students in Arabic, an Uzbek dance by second-year student Chorikulova Shahrinoza, and other presentations.
