An International Cooperation Event to Exchange Experiences on Improving Public Speaking Skills between Uzbek and Belarusian Students

 

The next event in the "Young Researchers" club took place successfully on April 8, 2025, at the Integrated English Language Department of Uzbekistan State World Languages University.

 

The event was organized by the department head P. Omanov, senior teacher Y. Sharipova, and department head E.V. Shiley and senior teacher Y. Zemlyankina from Moscow State Linguistic University. Students from both Uzbekistan State World Languages University and Moscow State Linguistic University participated and presented their speeches on enhancing public speaking skills.

The event was held on the Zoom platform, where students shared their experiences in public speaking. In particular, during the presentation titled "The Power of Public Speaking: Its Impact on the Mind and Emotions," participants gave tips on connecting with the audience and learning from mistakes. One piece of advice, shared in the section "Connect with Your Audience: Making It a Conversation," emphasized the importance of capturing attention through storytelling and uplifting the mood with humor. Another presentation on the topic "Visibility Strategies: How to Be a Part of a Team?" discussed ways to actively participate in a team.

 

During the event, students had the opportunity to test their public speaking skills in practice. In the conference hall, participants exchanged experiences and gathered valuable advice from each other's presentations.
