Another PhD Dissertation Defense in Philological Sciences Took Place

On January 20, another dissertation defense for the award of the Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Philological Sciences was held.

At the meeting of the Academic Council under the Uzbekistan State World Languages University, the dissertation by Zulfiya Fizuliyevna Alikhasanova entitled “Linguopragmatic Features of the Floristic Worldview in a Comparative and Contrastive Perspective” was discussed. The research was conducted within the specialty 10.00.06 — Comparative Literature, Contrastive Linguistics, and Translation Studies.

The defense session was held both offline and via the ZOOM online platform. The university rector Tuxtasinov, official opponents, and members of the Academic Council actively participated in the session.

During the scholarly discussions, the relevance of the research, as well as its theoretical and practical significance, were thoroughly analyzed, and the dissertation was highly evaluated.
