Club Activities Dedicated to Various Languages and Cultures Held

On March 18, 2026, the Department of Second Foreign Languages of the 3rd Faculty of English at the Uzbekistan State World Languages University organized another series of club activities dedicated to different languages and cultures of the world.

In particular, under the guidance of senior Dutch language teacher Khabiba Rahmonkulova, a session was held with students of group 2418 of the 3rd Faculty of English on the topic “Nederlandse keuken” (Dutch cuisine). During the session, students were introduced to national dishes of the Netherlands, including famous cheeses such as “Gouda” and “Edam,” as well as dishes like “patat.” Students exchanged views on the similarities and differences between Dutch and Uzbek cuisines.

Additionally, under the supervision of senior Greek language teacher Surayyo Musayeva, a club session was organized with students of group 2307 of the 1st Faculty of English on the topic “Ελληνική κουζίνα” (Greek cuisine). The session highlighted that Greek cuisine is based on healthy and balanced nutrition and aligns with the principles of the Mediterranean diet. Students actively participated, reinforcing their knowledge through Q&A sessions and interactive tasks.

Furthermore, another session of the Hindi language club was conducted at the Hindi Center by department teacher Umida Maxamadxodjayeva. The session was devoted to the topic “Historical Monuments of India,” where theoretical and practical information was provided about famous landmarks such as the Taj Mahal, Red Fort, Akbar’s Tomb, and Qutub Minar. Students delivered presentations and took part in engaging thematic games.

These sessions were organized based on modern pedagogical approaches and not only strengthened students’ knowledge but also increased their interest in the cultures and traditions of the world.
