Cooperation Meeting between the Uzbekistan State University of World Languages (UzSWLU) and Surabaya State University (UNESA, Indonesia)

A meeting was held between the Uzbekistan State University of World Languages (UzSWLU) and the prestigious Surabaya State University (UNESA) of Indonesia.

The event was attended by the leadership and academic staff of both universities.
From UNESA: Dr. Anung Priambodo, Dr. Karvanto, Dr. Yuli Lolita, Dr. Ima Widyanah, Awang Dharmavan, and Dr. Maspiyah M.Kes.
From USUWL: Rector I. Tuxtasinov, Vice-Rector for International Cooperation A. Nasirov, Head of the International Cooperation Department X. Yuldashev, Head of the Department for Scientific Research, Innovation, and Academic Staff Training K. Muradqasimova, and Dean of English Faculty No. 1 G. Ergasheva.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed mutual cooperation in education and research, professional development for lecturers, student exchange programs, implementation of innovative educational projects, and exchange of pedagogical experience.

At the conclusion of the discussions, three Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) were signed:

  1. MoU with Surabaya State University (UNESA) — covering the development of joint research activities, academic exchange of faculty and students, and organization of joint scientific conferences.

  2. MoU with UNESA Labschool — aimed at implementing student teaching practice programs based on advanced pedagogical experience and academic exchange.

  3. MoU with the UNESA Center for Education and Professional Development — focused on lecturer training, implementation of professional development and certification programs, and integration of modern educational technologies.

The signing of these memoranda marks a new stage in the partnership between USUWL and UNESA, strengthening bilateral relations in the fields of education, science, and innovation, and contributing to the expansion of international academic cooperation between Uzbekistan and Indonesia.
