Doctoral Dissertation Defense Held at the Uzbekistan State World Languages University

On July 2, 2025, the 20th session of the Scientific Council DSc.03.30.12.2019.Fil.27.01 at the Uzbekistan State World Languages University hosted the defense of a doctoral dissertation for the degree of Doctor of Philological Sciences (DSc).

Shoira Makhammadovna Yuvasheva successfully defended her dissertation entitled “National-Cultural and Universal Lexicon in the Work ‘Qutadghu Bilig’: Semantic and Translation Aspects” under the specialty 10.00.06 – Comparative Literature, Comparative Linguistics, and Translation Studies.

The event was attended by UzSWLU Rector Ilkhomjon Tukhtasinov, members of the university administration, and official opponents. The researcher presented her findings, elaborated on the novelty of her work, and provided well-founded answers to the questions of the scientific seminar participants.

This scholarly work is of great significance as it is devoted to an in-depth analysis of the rich lexical heritage of Qutadghu Bilig, focusing on its semantic study and scientific substantiation of translation approaches.
