2026-08-14 09-19 Doctoral (DSc) Dissertation Defense Held in Pedagogical Sciences
On August 13, a defense of the dissertation by Anorkhon Nasibali qizi Akhmedova, entitled “Didactic Foundations for Improving Students’ Written Translation Skills through the Use of Corpus Tools,” was held at Uzbekistan State World Languages University both offline and online via the ZOOM platform. The dissertation was prepared in the specialty 13.00.02 – Theory and Methodology of Education and Upbringing (English Language) for submission in fulfillment of the requirements for the degree of Doctor of Sciences (DSc) in Pedagogical Sciences.
The meeting of the Academic Council was attended by Ilkhomjon Tukhtasinov, Rector of Uzbekistan State World Languages University, Doctor of Sciences (DSc) in Pedagogical Sciences, Professor, as well as the official opponents.
During the defense, opinions and comments were expressed regarding the relevance, scientific novelty, methodological foundations, and practical significance of the research. The dissertation author answered the questions raised and provided a detailed presentation of the main findings of the study.
The official opponents also presented their opinions and recommendations concerning the dissertation.
At the conclusion of the defense, the dissertation was evaluated by the members of the Academic Council in accordance with the established procedure.
