As part of the "Reading Promotion" week, an event was held at the Information Resource Center of UzSWLU.
On October 16, a roundtable discussion took place with Khurram Rahimovich Rahimov — Professor of the Department of Theoretical German Studies, Chairman of the Association of German Language Teachers of Uzbekistan, Chairman of the German-Uzbek Scientific Society, member of the Union of Writers of Uzbekistan, and author of more than 300 translations. The event was attended by Deputy Director of the IRC M. Mukhammedjonova, tutors of the Romance-Germanic Philology Faculty, and first-year students.
During the discussion, Kh. Rahimov shared insights on the importance of understanding the rules of both languages for translation and what aspects should be considered in the process. He also talked about his translation of Alisher Navoi's work "Munojat."
The guest provided students with numerous recommendations on how to become well-rounded individuals, emphasizing the importance of reading, research, efficient time management, and other key aspects of personal development.
At the end of the program, students had the opportunity to ask questions and received valuable answers from the guest.
