EVENT ON “MY DIGITAL RIGHTS” HELD
An event titled “My Digital Rights” was held at the Faculty of English Philology of Uzbekistan State University of World Languages to enhance students’ knowledge of digital rights and freedoms and broaden their understanding of their rights and responsibilities in cyberspace.
The event was attended by Kh. Khakimov, Dean of the Faculty of English Philology; I. B. Saidov, Inspector of the Department for Crime Prevention of the Uchtepa District Department of Internal Affairs; and Captain Turaev.
During the meeting, the participants discussed issues related to protecting human rights in the digital environment, rights and responsibilities when using the internet, personal data protection, privacy, and the right to access information.
Students were also provided with recommendations on using social media and internet platforms safely, avoiding sharing personal information with strangers, exercising caution when dealing with suspicious messages and links, and following the appropriate procedures for reporting violations of digital rights.
An open dialogue was held with the students, during which specialists answered their questions and listened to their opinions.
Knowing your digital rights is an important condition for understanding and protecting your rights in today’s information environment.
