Grand opening ceremony of the Angren Faculty of UzSWLU held

Today, the grand opening ceremony of the Angren Faculty of Uzbekistan State World Languages University took place in the city of Angren. The faculty was established based on the Resolution No. 667 of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated October 11, 2024, and is aimed at expanding higher education opportunities in the regions and creating new conditions for young people to receive modern education.

At the time of its establishment, 154 students were admitted to the faculty, and currently more than 20 professors, teachers, and staff members are working there. A modern educational infrastructure has been created for the faculty, including a fully renovated academic building with a capacity of 1,500 students and a dormitory for 600 students, both equipped with modern facilities.

The ceremony was opened by the Rector of the university, Ilxomjon Tuxtasinov. In his speech, he emphasized that the establishment of the Angren Faculty is an important step in developing the higher education system, expanding access to quality education for young people, and creating modern educational institutions in the regions. He also noted that the new faculty will play a significant role in the in-depth study of foreign languages, acquisition of modern knowledge and skills, and the training of competitive specialists.

The event was attended by the Mayor of Angren, Alisher Abdumalikovich Rahimov, Head of the City Department of Public Education A. G‘afurov, Chairman of the “Nuroniylar” Foundation E. Qoraboyev, and other guests. The speakers congratulated the university team on the opening of the new faculty and highlighted the importance of establishing a modern educational institution for the youth of the region.

At the end of the ceremony, guests and participants toured the faculty building, classrooms, and facilities created for students. The new faculty is expected to become an important educational center for training highly competitive specialists.
