Honorary Certificate of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan Awarded
On February 6, an important ceremony was held at the residence of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to the Republic of Uzbekistan, Kenji Hirata. During the event, Malika Ibragimova, Associate Professor of the Department of Japanese Philology at the Uzbekistan State World Languages University, was awarded the Honorary Certificate of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Japan.
This award is presented to individuals and organizations that have made outstanding contributions to strengthening friendly relations between Japan and other countries, particularly in the teaching and promotion of the Japanese language.
It is worth noting that Malika Ibragimova has been making a significant contribution to the development of Japanese language and culture in Uzbekistan for more than 30 years. Throughout her academic career, she has been involved in developing curricula, participating in international educational projects, and working as a translator. She has also continuously enhanced her professional skills by taking part in long-term and short-term training programs organized by the Japan Foundation.
The event was attended by the Rector of the Uzbekistan State World Languages University, Ilhomjon Tuxtasinov, representatives of the university, as well as members of the mass media. The ceremony contributed to further strengthening cooperation between Uzbekistan and Japan in the fields of education, culture, and science.
This recognition became a high appraisal of many years of productive work and a worthy contribution to the strengthening of friendly ties between the two countries.
