On October 18, representatives from the United Arab Emirates visited the Uzbekistan State University of World Languages.

During the visit, a meeting was organized between Rector Ilkhomjon Tukhtasinov and the UAE Higher Education Expert Hasan Al-Hashimi.

Also attending were A. Nasirov, Vice-Rector for International Cooperation; X. Yuldashev, Head of the International Cooperation Department; U. Yuldoshev, Dean of the Faculty of Translation Studies; and K. Qodirova, Head of the Arabic Language Department.

During the meeting, the establishment of cooperation with UAE universities, the organization of summer/winter camps for students, and the attraction of funds and grants from UAE foundations were discussed. Topics of interest included:  Enhancing the qualifications of Arabic language teachers;  Implementing research projects; Obtaining and co-authoring textbooks and teaching materials on the Arabic language;  Engaging Arabic language specialists to work at the Uzbekistan State University of World Languages.
