On February 14, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to Uzbekistan, Mr. Yu Jun, along with the Second Secretary of the Embassy, Ms. Wu Meng Ning, and education and cultural affairs advisors, Ms. Li Li and Ms. Xu Lian, visited UzSWLU.
At the beginning of the event, a cultural program featuring traditional Chinese and Uzbek dances, songs, and theatrical performances prepared by students of the Chinese language group was presented to the guests in the university’s assembly hall.
The event was opened with a welcoming speech by the Vice-Rector for International Cooperation, A. Nasirov. In his speech, he spoke about the long-standing relations between China and Uzbekistan, cooperation in the field of education, and the university’s efforts to enhance Chinese language education.
Following this, Mr. Yu Jun expressed his gratitude for the invitation and shared his appreciation for UzSWLU’s efforts in training specialists in the Chinese language. He emphasized that this contributes significantly to the development of humanitarian ties between the two countries.
The event, prepared with the participation of students, left a deep impression on the guests. They acknowledged the effective achievements of UzSWLU professors and teachers in teaching the Chinese language and culture.
