International Scientific Dialogue: New Horizons for China–Central Asia Cooperation
On January 31, 2026, in the context of major global changes and new opportunities, Shanghai International Studies University (SISU) organized an online international conference on “Prospects for High-Quality Cohesion in the China–Central Asia Community” aimed at implementing agreements reached at the Second China–Central Asia Summit, strengthening cooperation consensus, and unlocking development potential.
The prestigious international forum brought together academic experts, scholars, entrepreneurs, and representatives from various sectors to discuss deepening political trust, expanding trade and investment, developing infrastructure, improving public welfare, cultural exchange, and mechanisms of social integration.
At the conference, Head of the Department of Social Sciences at O‘zDJTU, Professor Z. Zamonov, presented a lecture titled “The New Silk Road — An Important Socio-Political Format of Regional Cooperation.” The presentation emphasized that restoring the Silk Road based on mutually beneficial relations and exploring new directions of cooperation contributes to further strengthening social, political, and spiritual ties between China and Central Asian countries.
