International Scientific-Practical Conference on “World Literature and Philological Comparative Studies” Held at UzSWLU
An international scientific-practical conference on the topic “World Literature and Philological Comparative Studies” was organized at a high level by the Department of World Literature of the Third Faculty of English at Uzbekistan State World Languages University (UzSWLU).
The conference was opened with a welcoming speech by the Rector of the university, Ilkhomjon Tukhtasinov, who emphasized the importance of research in world literature and comparative philology today, as well as the relevance of developing international cooperation and academic exchange of experience in these fields.

During the event, congratulatory speeches and remarks on prospects for international scientific collaboration were delivered by Abdurakhim Nasirov, Otabek Yusupov, Nazira Salomova, David Damrosch, Irma Ratiani, Kemal Yavuz Ataman, Galin Tihanov, and Jeroen Gerrits.
In addition, scholars including Baktigul Ismailova, Alex Kormanski, Gulnoz Khallieva, Galiba Gadiyeva, Guseyn Tikayev, Jasur Ziyomixammedov, Uzoq Jo‘raqulov, Feruza Sapayeva, Khairulla Hamidov, Dilshod Nasriddinov, Ulugbek Ko‘chimov, and Munira Umarqulova presented their academic reports, offering important scientific insights into world literature, comparative studies, and contemporary philological issues.
Throughout the conference, a number of proposals and initiatives were put forward aimed at strengthening scientific dialogue, experience exchange, and international academic cooperation.
The conference played an important role in advancing the integration of science and education, supporting young researchers, and further expanding international cooperation in the field of philology.
