LIVING CONDITIONS OF FEMALE STUDENTS REVIEWED
On 27 October, D. Solikhodjayeva, a specialist in women's affairs, visited Uzbekistan State World Languages University to learn about female students' living conditions, social and personal well-being, and needs. During the visit, discussions were held with representatives of the University's Women's Council on supporting female students, protecting their rights and interests, and organising meaningful leisure activities.
As part of the visit, the living conditions of 76 female students residing in a private student dormitory operated by Al Dilshod LLC in the Chilanzar District were reviewed. In addition, 24 students living in apartments No. 14, 15 and 18 in the 10th residential area were visited. Discussions provided an opportunity to exchange views on their daily lives, studies, reading interests, existing challenges and suggestions.
The next destination was the university's Student Dormitory No. 2. It was noted that 620 female students live there, including 62 students with Group I or Group II disabilities. During conversations with the students, their views on living and study conditions, needs and suggestions were heard. Particular attention was paid to ensuring appropriate conditions for students with disabilities and providing them with comprehensive support.
At the conclusion of the visit, the importance of regularly reviewing female students' requests and suggestions, identifying existing problems in a timely manner, and strengthening cooperation between the university's responsible representatives and student dormitory management to address these issues was emphasised.
