Media Literacy Caravan: New Destination — UzSWLU
Our caravan is overwhelmed with continuous invitations! Visiting each destination is an honor, and choosing among them is a special responsibility. Once again, we are gathering our strength and enthusiastically setting off toward new destinations. We hope you will accompany us on this journey!
So, here we are at another new location, dear friends! This time — at one of the most prestigious universities in the country, the Uzbekistan State World Languages University!
During today’s training, the main focus was on academic responsibility and ethics in the post-truth era. In particular, the issue of disinformation in the research process and ways to prevent it were thoroughly discussed. Today, when writing theses, articles, or dissertations, selecting reliable sources and fact-checking every piece of empirical data has become critically important.
Young researchers, in turn, will become strong “multipliers of knowledge,” sharing the skills they gained today with their peers and students.
The sessions were organized in cooperation with the Department of Scientific Research, Innovation and Training of Scientific-Pedagogical Personnel of UzSWLU and the Research Institute of Media and Communication. The program involved doctoral students, independent researchers, and young teachers. Key topics included media literacy, the role of artificial intelligence in science and media, digital security, fact-checking, and global trends.
Our caravan does not stop. Ahead lie new destinations and new conversations!
