Meeting Held with a Leading Specialist in Sign Language Interpretation
On June 25, 2026, Uzbekistan State World Languages University hosted a meeting with Abduazimova Manzura Axnazarovna, a specialist with more than 20 years of professional experience in the field of sign language interpretation.

The event was opened by the Rector of Uzbekistan State World Languages University, Ilxomjon Tuxtasinov. In his remarks, he emphasized that the role of sign language interpreters in modern society is becoming increasingly important, and that training qualified professionals is essential for ensuring equal access to information and education for people with hearing impairments. He also noted that preparing specialists equipped with modern knowledge and practical skills in this field is one of the university’s key priorities.
The meeting was attended by university faculty members, students, and individuals interested in the field.

During the event, Manzura Akhnazarovna Abduazimova delivered a presentation on the development of International Sign Language in Uzbekistan, her extensive experience in sign language interpretation, efforts to support inclusive education, and initiatives aimed at training a new generation of professionals. She also shared practical insights gained through her work as a sign language interpreter on television and at major national events.
At the conclusion of the meeting, participants engaged in an open discussion with the specialist and received answers to their questions.
