2026-09-11 12-03 MEETING HELD WITH REPRESENTATIVES OF THE U.S. EMBASSY
On September 10, a meeting was held at the Uzbekistan State University of World Languages with representatives of the U.S. Embassy in Uzbekistan and an American English language instructor.
The meeting was attended by Stockton Duvall, Lead Specialist of the English Language Program at the U.S. Embassy; Kim Chilmonik, Head of the Regional English Language Office; and Monica Zhang, an English Language Fellow assigned to the university under a U.S. Department of State grant.
During the meeting, the participants discussed introducing English language instructor Monica Zhang to the university community, implementing the “University English Teaching Essentials” project for young teachers of the Uzbekistan State University of World Languages, as well as the possibility of assigning an additional English language specialist to the university for a short-term period.
The participants also exchanged views on other issues of mutual interest.
