Meeting on Combating Cybercrime Among Youth Held
On January 30, a preventive meeting dedicated to combating cybercrime among young people, its prevention, and ensuring safety in the digital environment was held at the Uzbekistan State World Languages University.
The event was conducted by Egamberdiyev Maqsadbek Avazovich, Lieutenant Colonel and a master’s degree student of the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, specializing in Organizational and Strategic Management.
The meeting was attended by Vice-Rector for Youth Affairs and Spiritual and Educational Work Valijon Sa’diyev, members of the university administration, faculty staff, students, as well as Deputy Head of the Uchtepa District Department of Internal Affairs, Lieutenant Colonel A.A. Ochilov.
During the meeting, young participants received detailed information on preventing cybercrime, observing safe behavior on the internet and social networks, protecting personal data, and the legal consequences of offenses committed in the digital environment.
The speakers emphasized the importance of preventive measures in ensuring cybersecurity, the role of digital monitoring mechanisms in preventing corruption-related and other offenses, and the need to enhance legal awareness and responsibility among youth.
At the conclusion of the meeting, comprehensive answers were provided to students’ questions, and it was noted that holding such awareness-raising events on a regular basis plays a significant role in the early prevention of offenses among young people.
