Meeting with KOICA Representatives
On September 5, 2025, the Uzbekistan State University of World Languages hosted a meeting with Ms. Kim Cheon, newly appointed Deputy Director of the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) office in Uzbekistan, the project manager, and agency officials. The meeting focused on discussing the progress of the project “Development of Korean Language and Culture Teaching.”
The meeting was attended by Vice-Rector for International Cooperation A. Nasirov, Vice-Rector for Finance and Economics M. Khamrayev, Head of the International Cooperation Department Kh. Yuldashev, Head of the Procurement and Supply Department R. Kholmurodov, and Dean of the Faculty of Oriental Philology D. Djurayev.
The parties reviewed issues related to the renovation of classrooms allocated to the Faculty of Oriental Philology, their furnishing, and provision with modern technical equipment. Ms. Kim Cheon emphasized the need to accelerate the ongoing work under the project.
Mr. R. Kholmurodov, Head of Procurement and Supply, delivered a presentation on tender requirements and the project budget, and answered questions raised by KOICA representatives.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties agreed to finalize all necessary documents and send them to the Korean side before the negotiations scheduled for September 19, 2025, in Seoul with the KOICA headquarters leadership.
