“Minister’s Cup” – Opening Ceremony Held

The official opening ceremony of the republican stage of the “Minister’s Cup” field hockey tournament among female students was held at the Uzbekistan State University of World Languages.

The event was ceremonially opened by the Rector of the university, Ilkhomjon Tukhtasinov.

The ceremony was attended by the university leadership, responsible officials of the ministry, representatives of the sports sector, participating teams, guests, and qualified referees.

During the event, speeches were delivered by Khurshid Eshov, a responsible official of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan; Mahmud Kholmatov, Executive Director of the Tashkent City Field Hockey Federation; and Erkin Qodirov, First Deputy Chairman of the Uzbekistan Students Association. They highlighted the importance of the competition and its role in youth sports.

Afterwards, Rector Ilkhomjon Tukhtasinov and ministry official Khurshid Eshov gave a symbolic start to the competition, after which the matches began.

The first matches of the tournament were intense and highly competitive.
