New Year Celebration Held at the Faculty of Oriental Philology of UzSWLU
On December 18, a New Year celebration event was held at the Faculty of Oriental Philology of the Uzbekistan State World Languages University in cooperation with the Youth Union.
The event was opened with a congratulatory speech by Ulugbek Nazarov, Deputy Dean for Youth Affairs and Spiritual and Educational Work. In his address, he sincerely congratulated the students on the upcoming year 2026, wished them great success in their studies and future careers, and expressed his best wishes.
To further enhance the festive atmosphere, the character of Father Frost was invited to the stage. In addition, female students performed Uzbek national dances, particularly the Khorezm Lazgi, which added a special charm to the event.
During the celebration program, not only Uzbek national dances and songs were performed, but also foreign music and K-pop dances. These performances demonstrated the students’ strong interest in various cultures and artistic styles.
At the end of the event, students who had actively participated in faculty life throughout the year were awarded letters of appreciation by Ulugbek Nazarov. The celebration concluded in a joyful spirit with a unifying New Year song.
