On February 11, the Uzbek State University of World Languages hosted a roundtable discussion on the topic "Religious Tolerance and the Essence of Islam."

The event was opened by the university's First Vice-Rector for Youth Affairs and Spiritual-Educational Work, Valijon Sa’diyev, who spoke about the importance of religious tolerance in society and its role in the spiritual education of young people.

The discussion featured specialists from the Committee on Religious Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Zulhaydar Sultonov and Jamshid Aliyev, who provided detailed insights for students and faculty on religious tolerance, the true essence of Islam, and the role of religious values in society.

Throughout the event, various religious movements, their impact on society, the threats of extremism and radicalism, and ways to enhance religious awareness were discussed. Additionally, participants had the opportunity to ask specialists their questions and receive detailed answers.

At the end of the event, the university expressed its gratitude to the guests for their participation and valuable insights, and certificates of appreciation were presented.
