On May 3, a memorandum was signed between Uzbekistan State World Languages University and the Tashkent City Branch of the Uzbekistan Handball Federation to strengthen cooperation in the field of sports.

At the ceremony, University Rector Ilkhomjon Tukhtasinov shared his views on the importance of this partnership, recognizing it as a significant step toward strengthening youth health, promoting a healthy lifestyle, and increasing students’ physical activity.

This memorandum is aimed at fulfilling the tasks set out in the Presidential Decree of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. PQ-421 dated December 4, 2024, as well as other related governmental decrees and resolutions. It serves to develop handball, promote the sport among young people, and enhance the participation of the university’s team in sports activities.

The cooperation will be carried out in the following areas:

• organizing selection and recruitment in handball;

• ensuring the university team’s participation in city and national competitions;

• providing appropriate incentives to athletes;

• covering competitions and achievements in the media and on social networks.

This memorandum marks a new stage of bilateral cooperation and serves to identify and support talented youth through sports.
