2026-08-21 11-30 OPEN DISCUSSION HELD ON “ROAD CULTURE — A GUARANTEE OF A SAFE LIFE”
Today, August 20, an open discussion and awareness-raising event on the theme “Road Culture — A Guarantee of a Safe Life” was organized at the initiative of the Tashkent City Council of the “Adolat” Social Democratic Party, in cooperation with the Road Safety Department of the Tashkent City Main Department of Internal Affairs, the Tashkent City Department of the Association of Mahallas, and the Tashkent City Transport Department.
The event addressed issues related to improving road safety culture in the capital, promoting mutual respect and responsibility among drivers and pedestrians, preventing road traffic accidents, and creating a safer environment.
The event was attended by Muhammadjon Valiyev, a deputy of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis; Sadriddin Turabjanov, a deputy of the Tashkent City Council, Rector of Islam Karimov Tashkent State Technical University, and Academician; Muharram Dadaho‘jayeva, Chairperson of the Tashkent City Council of the “Adolat” Social Democratic Party; Ilkhomjon Tuxtasinov, Rector of the Uzbekistan State University of World Languages and Professor; Orifjon Aliqulov, Head of the Tashkent City Department of the Association of Mahallas; officials of the Road Safety Department of the Tashkent City Main Department of Internal Affairs; and representatives of relevant sectors.
During the discussion, specialists presented practical proposals and recommendations on ensuring pedestrian safety, regulating public transport, improving road infrastructure, and increasing the responsibility of all road users.
The participation of Ilkhomjon Madaminovich Tuxtasinov, Rector of the Uzbekistan State University of World Languages and Deputy of the 19th “Farhod” Electoral District of the Uchtepa District Council of People’s Deputies, was also highlighted.
