Orientation Event Held for First-Year Students at the Faculty of Oriental Philology
On September 8, an orientation event for first-year students was organized at the Faculty of Oriental Philology of Uzbekistan State University of World Languages, providing students with an opportunity to become acquainted with the faculty administration.
The event was opened by the Dean of the Faculty, Dilshod Djurayev, who warmly congratulated the students on becoming university students and wished them success in their studies. Students were also provided with detailed information about the university’s internal regulations, their rights and responsibilities, and the requirements to be observed throughout the educational process.
During the event, first-year students were introduced to the faculty administration, departments, and their areas of activity. Heads of departments provided information about the educational process, research activities, spiritual and educational initiatives, as well as various clubs operating at the faculty.
The cultural programme featured an Uzbek national dance, samulnori, a taekwondo demonstration, a Korean national melody, and Chinese national dances, creating an uplifting atmosphere for the participants.
The event marked an important step in helping first-year students become familiar with faculty life, adapt to the university environment, and make their student years meaningful and productive.
